Amen! Very well written and true. As someone who used to Crossfit before it’s shit storm popularity I’ve always felt that the same results could be reached with far less CNS burn out.
Very true. One of my issues with CrossFit is the way some of its adherents try to make it out to the be THE (or at least the best) way to get fit, when I really think are, as you said, other ways to achieve the same results and stay on the better side of the health/performance dropoff point.
It’s from a show that used to be on Fox called Trading Spouses. It was one of those execrable exploitative reality shows. It was actually a very sad episode because you could tell the lady had a very self destructive mindset and was probably not in the healthiest spot mentally or emotionally and she wound up taking out a lot of it on her family.
